Podcast: Flowers & Folklore
I’ve launched a podcast! Have you ever wondered why you shouldn't bring snowdrops into your home? Or what happens when you hear bluebells rings?
Then this podcast is for you.
The idea for Flowers & Folklore came to me in 2022. I even recorded and released the trailer. I’m just a big scaredy cat and kept putting it off. Then I packed away the microphone for safe keeping. Nothing has changed, I’m still a big scaredy cat, but I also can’t let go of the idea. It’s like going for an evening walk during the summer in Scotland. You can swat and swat at those midges, but they’ll just keep coming for you. My podcast idea was just as persistent as those midges.
There will be monthly episodes from me, Sarah Rushbrooke. I’m a florist, a flower nerd and folklore fanatic. Each episode focuses on a specific flower, it's lore and unusual floral facts.
If there’s a flower or piece of folklore you’d like for me to feature on the podcast please get in touch! You can email here: podcast@rookbotanics.com
