Heartfelt and personal funeral flowers.

We create bespoke funeral flowers in Glasgow and the surrounding areas. Funeral flowers play an important role; they’re the final gift to a loved one and can bring comfort on a difficult day. This is why each floral design is crafted with care and consideration.

Why choose Rook Botanics?

Sarah returned to floristry following the death of her Grandma. She created a heartfelt and meaningful floral tribute, using fluffy pink carnations, for her Grandma. At such a hard time flowers brought so much comfort to Sarah and her family.

Rook Botanics understands how important funeral flowers are, they’re you’re final goodbye. Each tribute we create is made with love and attention, in the hope that they can bring you comfort during a difficult day.

We can liaise with your chosen funeral director or venue to ensure everything goes smoothly on the day of the funeral.

Committed to learning

Sarah likes to learn from the best of the best.

In early 2023 Sarah completed Tallulah Rose’s Sustainable Sympathy Flower course, to learn foam-free methods for funeral flowers.

In recent years, she’s also attended the world renowned McQueens Flower School and Leafy Couture.

She also completed a year long BTEC in Floristry (many years ago!)

Steps towards sustainable floristry

Limited use of foam
Where possible we refrain from using green floral foam, opting for alternative methods to minimise our environmental impact. This includes using moss, chicken wire or degradable foams like agra wool. It’s our intention to become 100% foam free and will continue to try alternative methods as they appear on the market.

Electric vehicle
Our commitment to sustainability extends to our delivery practices. In the majority of cases our funeral flowers are transported in an electric vehicle.

Ethical foraging practices
In our foraging endeavours we adhere to the guidelines set by the Woodland Trust. This ensures responsible harvesting practices that protect our natural habitat.

Local focus
We prioritise sourcing local foliages, flowers and materials whenever feasible, supporting community businesses and reducing carbon emissions associated with transportation.
