Hello, I'm so pleased you're here. I'm really excited to introduce my new podcast, Flowers and Folklore. I'm Sarah and I'll be your host. I'm a florist living in Glasgow in the UK and I run a floristry business called Rook Botanics. I create flowers for weddings, funerals, I run loads of workshops and now I host this podcast.

I also write a weekly newsletter called The Foibles of a Florist. If you've ever been interested in the behind the scenes of a florist's life or ever wanted to ask a florist a question, then come and find me on Substack. If you love flowers, folklore and unusual floral facts, then this podcast is for you.

I'm not an expert, I'm just a nerd with a lot of books. If this sounds like your kind of thing, I'll be launching the first episode on Sunday the 14th of July, so hit the subscribe button wherever you listen to podcasts. I really can't wait to get started.

I first had the idea for the podcast about two years ago and I even recorded a trailer but I was too scared to carry on so I'm trying again. The first episode is going to be all about the majestic foxglove. It's a good one. In the meantime you can find me over on Instagram at Rook Botanics.

That's R-O-O-K Botanics. See you soon!
